Email Time Capsule
What would I say to my future me?
If you could send an email to yourself in 20 years, what would you say? I hope you lost that weight? I hope you are making more money? Maybe you have some incredible advice that you want to remind yourself of.
What about the 10 most important things you hope to have accomplished in 10 years?
Or how about a list of goals for the next five years? Or next year? Get it on December 31st to remind you of how you did.
Maybe treat it like a time capsule and include what is going on in your life right now. Send it to yourself 20 years from now (I would be almost 50) for a good laugh.
Write a letter to your children (or future children) and communicate some of your thoughts and feelings to them.
What would you write to your future?

I actually created a “time capsule” back in HS as part of a school project. I suppose it is where I left it in our attic in our old house in Fairborn. I don’t really remember what I wrote back then.
As for now, I think I’d avoid the “10-yr goals” aspect. 1) I hate that part about a professional career w/ their annual reviews; and 2) I have no idea where God will have me in 10-yrs. Lately it has been a daily walk with Him, seeking His will for me now. The future is His.
The perspective and or advice idea wouldn’t be bad though. I guess this is what a blog or a journal can provide though. Reading back through entries from even last year surprises me of where I was then.
