Following Jesus
I presented a message last night to our young adult group titled “Following Jesus” based off the passage of Scripture at John 8.1-11 (The woman caught in adultery).
One of the things I talked about was the difference between believing in Jesus and following Jesus.
Believing is about WHAT you decide is the truth. It’s mental, logical: What does the evidence say? Who can make the best argument? What is true? What is real?
Following is WHO you decide is worthy of your life. It’s honor, worship: Who is guiding your life? Who do you imitate? Engage with? Moved by?
I believe in gravity, but it’s not worthy of my life.
I support the argument for the theory of relativity, but my life is not lived in worship to it.
I’m convinced that there are electrons and protons swirling around me in this room, but it doesn’t guide me. My life is not moved by it.
Jesus invites us to follow Him

Nope…I Delirious once back at the Dublin (i think) vineyard (the Joshua House) or something like that. Way back before they were big. I think you were there though.
I tried sending an email to your CTK addy yesterday but it got bounced back. Check out the schedule, cause we are playing up in C-bus next weekend.
