Very thought provoking. I have and continue to find myself wondering how in the world I could even consider "leading" with my American leadership training in a place like Zambia where the unemployment rate is as high as 70% and 1 in maybe 100 kids who are top of their class get the chance to go on to college. What would I have to offer? I can't even imagine growing up in that society and how I would be. I would most likely be very much like the culture -- though desiring something was different be at a complete loss for how to remedy it. Hmmm...kind of funny...I think that's exactly where I'm at coming from the outside. So maybe it isn't really so different after all.
